What do I need to run Relic?
A recent Chrome (or Chromium) browser. Everything runs on-device; richer summaries also use Chrome's built-in AI (Gemini Nano) when available.
Do I need an account, API key, or subscription?
No — no account, sign-in, or API key. Install it and it works.
Which filings and documents does Relic work on?
Any filing on SEC EDGAR — 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, 20-F, S-1, proxy statements and more — where Relic activates automatically. You can also click Analyze this page on other financial documents; Relic asks for permission for that specific site first, and only then.
What does Relic actually produce for a filing?
Four local reads: Analyst (investor snapshot with scores and a bull-vs-bear case), Summaries, sentence-level Sentiment, and a year-over-year Redline — plus on-page language flags and PDF export.
Is my filing data actually private?
Yes. Everything runs on-device and network access is locked to SEC.gov — there's no server to send data to. Verify it in the Network tab. See the security page and privacy policy.
How does Relic avoid making things up?
Guardrails: quoted text must appear verbatim in the filing and cited figures must exist in the source — otherwise the claim is dropped.
Does it work offline?
Yes — analysis is on-device. Only the year-over-year redline needs the network (to fetch the prior filing), and you can turn that off in Settings.
Is Relic investment advice?
No — it's for research and information only. It won't tell you to buy, sell, or hold anything.
Can Relic show me what changed from last year's filing?
Yes. Open the Redline tab to compare the filing you're reading against the prior-year version from SEC.gov. Relic surfaces section-level change percentages and highlights what was added, removed, or rewritten so you can focus on what actually moved.
Can I use Relic on any website?
Yes — how deep the analysis goes depends on the page you're on:
